Best Hostel Manhattan? - There is an ever growing network of youth hostels in cities all over the world. Hostels are a fantastic way for adventurous people to visit a wide variety of cities on a tight budget. This kind of traveling is not for everyone, but if it is right for you, the world can be your oyster! The average age of a visitor to a hostel is about 18-25 years old. Most living at hostels is communal, dormitory style. There might be as many as 20 single (twin) beds in a large open room, no curtains and no privacy to speak of. The rest rooms may be unisex, though most hostels will have some sort of separate lavatory area for men and women.
